How Booking Works

Search

Enter your destination and travel dates on the homepage. Filter by price, stars, property type, amenities, or turn on the Sacred Journey filter to find monastery-adjacent stays.

Choose a hotel

Browse hotels, read descriptions, check amenities and nearby temples. Click 'View & Request' to proceed.

Submit your request

Enter your name, email, phone, and any special requests. No account needed and no payment required at this stage.

We confirm availability

Our team checks with the hotel and gets back to you within 24 hours. You'll get a WhatsApp message confirming or suggesting alternatives.

Pay after confirmation

Once confirmed, we send you a secure Razorpay payment link via WhatsApp. Pay by UPI, card, or net banking in Indian Rupees (₹).

Booking

Do I need to create an account to book?

No. You can search and request any hotel without registering. Just fill in your guest details and submit your request — no payment needed upfront.

How does the booking process work?

Search for a destination and dates, pick a hotel, fill in your name, email, and phone number, then submit your request. Our team confirms availability within 24 hours and sends you a secure Razorpay payment link via WhatsApp.

How do I pay?

No card required upfront. Once your booking request is confirmed, we send you a secure Razorpay payment link via WhatsApp. You can pay by UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, or wallet in Indian Rupees (₹).

Will I receive a confirmation?

Yes — once you submit a request, a reference number is shown on screen. After our team confirms availability, you'll get a WhatsApp message with your confirmed booking details and payment link.

Can I cancel or modify my booking?

Contact our team via WhatsApp or email as early as possible. Cancellation policies vary by property — most hotels offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. Enter the guest's name and contact details in the booking form. The confirmation is sent to the email address you provide.

How does room availability work?

When you select check-in and check-out dates, we check real-time availability for each room type across your entire stay. A room shows as fully booked if all units are taken for any night in your range. Hotels can also limit availability or adjust pricing for specific dates (festivals, peak season), so the number available may vary by date.

Account

What is a KoraRooms account used for?

Creating an account lets you track your booking requests and leave reviews for hotels you have stayed at. You don't need an account to browse, search, or submit a booking request.

How do I create an account?

Click 'Register' in the top navigation. Enter your name, email, and a password. Your account is created immediately.

What is the difference between user, owner, support, and admin?

User — can request bookings and leave reviews. Support — platform staff who can suggest changes to hotel listings. Owner — hotel property owners who can directly edit their own listings. Super Admin — full platform access including confirming bookings, managing users, and sending payment links.

How do I get an owner or support account?

Owner and support accounts are created by a Super Admin. Contact the KoraRooms platform administrator to request elevated access.

Reviews

How do I leave a review?

Log in to your account, then open the hotel detail page. Scroll to the Reviews section, select a star rating (1–5), write your comment, and click Submit. You can leave one review per hotel.

Can I edit or delete my review?

At this time reviews cannot be edited or deleted once submitted. Contact our support team if you need to make a correction.

What is the Sacred Journey filter?

The Sacred Journey filter shows only hotels that are near significant Buddhist temples, monasteries, or pilgrimage sites. It's designed for travellers on a spiritual itinerary.

What property types are available?

KoraRooms lists four property types: hotels, guesthouses, homestays, and monastery stays. You can filter by type from the search page.

What room information is shown?

Each listing shows the bed configuration, maximum guests, approximate price per night, and included amenities. All room types for a property are shown. Final pricing is confirmed by our team before payment.

Languages

What languages does KoraRooms support?

The platform is available in English, Tibetan (བོད་སྐད།), and Chinese Simplified (中文). Use the language toggle in the top navigation to switch at any time.

General

What is KoraRooms?

KoraRooms is a hotel discovery and booking platform focused on Tibetan, Himalayan, and Buddhist sacred destinations — including Majnu Ka Tilla, Dharamsala, Bodh Gaya, Kathmandu, Tawang, and more. 'Kora' means circumambulation in Tibetan — the devotional walk around a sacred site.

The hotel I want is not listed. What should I do?

Write to us via WhatsApp. We're constantly adding new properties and can often arrange accommodation at unlisted hotels on request.

Is my personal information safe?

Your details are used only to process your booking. All data is stored securely in our database with row-level access controls. We never share or sell your information to third parties.
